d.) Anti-Hypertensive Drugs - उच्च रक्तचाप रोधी दवाएं

These medicines are used to treat high blood pressure ( hypertension ).

इन दवाओं का उपयोग उच्च रक्तचाप (हाइपरटेंशन) के इलाज के लिए किया जाता है।

Major Class Of Anti Hypertensive Drugs Are :-

1. Diuretics - These medicines are used to get rid of excess salt and water which reduce blood volume and lowering blood pressure.

इन दवाओं का उपयोग अतिरिक्त नमक और पानी से छुटकारा पाने के लिए किया जाता है जो रक्त की मात्रा और रक्तचाप को कम करते हैं।

Example :- 

Furosemide

Torsemide

Hydrochlorothiazide

Metolazone

Spironolactone

Amiloride

Acetazolamide

Mannitol

2. Beta Blockers - Atenolol, Propranolol, Metoprolol

3. Calcium Channel Blockers - Nifedipine, Nimodipine

                                                              Verapamil, Diltiazem

4. Ace Inhibitor (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme)

These medicines are used to block hormone that causes blood vessels constrictions which leads to relaxation and dilation of blood vessels. 

इन दवाओं का उपयोग उस हार्मोन को अवरुद्ध करने के लिए किया जाता है जो रक्त वाहिकाओं में संकुचन पैदा करता है, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप रक्त वाहिकाओं में शिथिलता और फैलाव होता है।

5. ARBs Blockers (Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers)

These medicines work similar to ACE Inhibitor but it only blocks the receptor only. 

ये दवाएं एसीई इनहिबिटर के समान काम करती हैं लेकिन यह केवल रिसेप्टर को ही ब्लॉक करती हैं।

6. Central Acting Drugs

These medicines affect the central nervous system to reduce blood pressure.

ये दवाएं रक्तचाप को कम करने के लिए केंद्रीय तंत्रिका तंत्र को प्रभावित करती हैं।

Methyldopa

7. Alpha Blockers

These medicines block the action of adrenaline on blood vessels causing them to relax.

ये दवाइयां रक्त वाहिकाओं पर एड्रेनालाईन की क्रिया को अवरुद्ध कर देती हैं, जिससे वे शिथिल हो जाती हैं।
