c.) Anti-Anginal Drugs - एन्टी-एन्जाइनल औषधियाँ

These medicines are used to prevent chest pain ( angina ) which is caused by due to  reduced blood flow to the heart.

इन दवाओं का उपयोग सीने में दर्द (एनजाइना) को रोकने के लिए किया जाता है जो हृदय में रक्त के प्रवाह में कमी के कारण होता है।

Types - प्रकार

1. Nitrates - These medicines are used to relax and widen blood vessels making easier for blood and oxygen to reach heart.

Example :- 

Nitroglycerin

Isosorbide dinitrate

Isosorbide mononitrate

2. Beta Blockers - Atenolol, Propranolol, Metoprolol

3. Calcium Channel Blockers - Nifedipine, Nimodipine

                                                         Verapamil, Diltiazem

4. Ranolazine -  inhibit ion channels during cardiac repolarization.
