a.) Inotropic Drugs - इनोट्रोपिक औषधियाँ

Two Types Of Inotropic Drugs 

इनोट्रोपिक दवाओं के दो प्रकार होते है

1. Positive Inotropic Drugs - increases heart's contractility.

सकारात्मक इनोट्रोपिक दवाएं - ह्रदय की संकुचंशिलता को बढ़ाते है

Mechanism  

These medicine work by increasing the amount of calcium available in the heart muscle cells which leads to increase heart contractions.

क्रियाविधि

ये दवाएं हृदय की मांसपेशी कोशिकाओं में उपलब्ध कैल्शियम की मात्रा को बढ़ाकर काम करती हैं, जिससे हृदय संकुचन बढ़ जाता है।

Uses 

use in case of heart failure, cardiogenic shock ( heart not pump enough blood ), certain arrhythmias ( irregular heartbeats ).

 उपयोग

हृदय विफलता, कार्डियोजेनिक शॉक (जब हृदय अचानक पर्याप्त रक्त पंप नहीं कर पाता) और कुछ अतालता (अनियमित हृदय धड़कन) के मामलों में

Example :-

Epinephrine

Norepinephrine

Digoxin

Dobutamine

Dopamine

Milrinone

Levosimendan

2. Negative Inotropic Drugs - decreases heart's contractility.

नकारात्मक इनोट्रोपिक दवाएं - हृदय की संकुचंशिलता को कम करते है

Mechanism

decrease force of  cardiac muscle contraction by impacting calcium and electrical activity thus it reduces heart contractions.

क्रियाविधि

कैल्शियम और विद्युत गतिविधि को प्रभावित करके हृदय की मांसपेशियों के संकुचन के बल को कम करता है, जिससे हृदय का संकुचन कम हो जाता है।

Uses 

Used when weaker heart contraction is needed to manage high blood pressure. 

 उपयोग

इसका उपयोग तब किया जाता है जब उच्च रक्तचाप को नियंत्रित करने के लिए कमजोर हृदय संकुचन की आवश्यकता होती है।

Example :-

Beta blocker - Atenolol, Propranolol, Metoprolol

Calcium Channel Blocker - Amlodipine, Verapamil, Diltiazem

Anti-Arrhythmic Drugs - Disopyramide, Flecainide
